چکیده

Whole-genome sequencing technologies provide opportunities to further understand genetic variation among different varieties. Some related genes that are useful for the breeding process could be identified by technologies. In this study, two peach varieties, Green No. 9 and its bud mutant Daifei, were analyzed with whole-genome re-sequencing. Approximately 109 million total reads generated, which covered ~89% of reference genome. A 1143757 SNPs, 169827 InDels, 17132 SVs 5040 CNVs detected in Daifei. Variant classified GO KEGG metabolic pathway analyses. Detected such as LOC18768059 (carbohydrate metabolism) LOC18785045 (anthocyanin biosynthesis), good candidate exploring phenotypic variations between Daifei showed obvious differences phenotypes variant loci. The genomic will contribute explorations important functional understanding basis mutations.

Whole-genome re-sequencing.

DNA sequencing can be used to gain important information on genes, genetic variation and gene function for biological and medical studies. The growing collection of publicly available reference genome sequences will underpin a new era of whole genome re-sequencing, but sequencing costs need to fall and throughput needs to rise by several orders of magnitude. Novel technologies are being develop...

Identification of genome variations in patients with lung adenocarcinoma using whole genome re-sequencing

Lung adenocarcinoma is one of the types of non‑small cell lung carcinoma, which tends to be treated with surgical therapy rather than radiation therapy. It occurs in smokers and non‑smokers, and is the most common form of lung cancer among non‑smokers and women. Gene rearrangements, including ALK, ROS1 and RET, and gene mutations, including epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), HER2, Kristen...

Estimating Genome-Wide Significance for Whole-Genome Sequencing Studies

Although a standard genome-wide significance level has been accepted for the testing of association between common genetic variants and disease, the era of whole-genome sequencing (WGS) requires a new threshold. The allele frequency spectrum of sequence-identified variants is very different from common variants, and the identified rare genetic variation is usually jointly analyzed in a series o...

Predicting CpG Islands and DNA Methlation in the Cow Genome Using DNA Microarray Meta-Analysis and Genome Wide Scanning

DNA methylation is a type of epigenetic changes that directly affects DNA. In mammals, DNA methylation is essential for fetal development and stem cell differentiation and this phenomenon essentially occurs within the CpG islands. In this study, two methods were used to study the DNA methylation profile of cow genome. In the first method, the DNA methylation profile of the differentially expres...
